No.Make.Up.Portrait Hilary

Today’s post is about my last photo shoot from August 2024 for my project 👉 No.Make.Up.Portrait with Hilary. As with all the photo shoots for this project, it’s not only about having fun and feeling comfortable in front of a camera; it’s also about empowerment and changing the perception of one’s own body. And that’s the best reward I can get as a photographer. But to achieve this, I have to connect with my model and build up trust as the foundation for the whole photo shoot. Without trust, I won’t be able to capture the soul.

I had already known Hilary for a couple of months, and we connected from the first time we met. So it was easier for me to build that trust and start taking photos. And as in nearly every other photo shoot, there’s this first warm-up phase, where we have to find our flow and get into that part where the model can enjoy the session and forget about me taking photos.
