Last week I launched a call on Facebook to find women who would like to take part in my project 👉 No.Make.Up.Portrait. I never ever thought, that over 60 (!) women reached out to me, some of them with lovely and heartbreaking stories, why they want to join my photo project. So I was pretty flooded with messages and emails and it took me a while to get trough all the answers I got.
On Monday I had the first photoshoot with Nicky. I met her a couple of times before, but never had a chance to talk to her longer and get to know her better. So this was not only – spoiler alert – a super cool photoshoot, I was finally able to get to know her a little better. A woman with a lot of stories to tell. And of course, fascinating to hear her story about how she quit doing makeup.

Photoshoot with Nicky
The photoshoot itself went super easy. We chose the freedom square (Vabaduse väljak) in the center of Tallinn, which is normally quite crowded, but on that day the weather wasn’t that good, so it was ok. And Nicky was so relaxed, hardly to belief, that she barely has had any other professional photoshoots before. Confident, open and easy to photograph. But most important – natural and beautiful 🥰 Just look at the photos and you know what I mean 📷
Editing
As in all my other photoshoots I do not do any heavy retouching or editing. The only thing I do is adjust brightness, contrast and grain in order to get more of an analog vibe.

Making Of
Thanks to my lovely wife Monika for those Making Of photos and, as always, the really helpful support during the photoshoot. ❤️
