Two weeks ago I had my first photoshoot in 2025 for my project No.Make.Up.Portrait. But it wasn’t only my first one for this year, Joelle Marcelle is also my first trans woman for my project 🏳️‍⚧️📷 Crazy, right? So this photoshoot was very special to me. And to be honest, I was pretty nervous before.
In the last weeks I had a few really cool portrait photoshoots. Totally different women with totally different reasons for a photoshoot, but there's something in common: they all needed a new perspective on themselves.
Recently, I found an old portrait of my wife, Monika, taken on a sunny beach in Portugal. During the shoot, I faced a challenge: my lens was foggy and the autofocus failed. Fearing my expensive lens was ruined, I placed it in the sun to dry, and miraculously, it worked! How did humidity get into my lens?
This series of photos from my project „No.Make.Up.Portrait“ is from my photoshoot with Hilary. Check out my blogpost to read the full story and see all the photos.
